Office administration seems to be my niche as I started working in the field before I graduated from high school as a Saturday receptionist. After graduating high school I found myself working for the provincial government. I worked my way up from an office assistant to an executive secretary and finally to an office manager.
I married my husband Chris in 1989, who was in the Canadian Forces, and we began moving around Canada. After being away a few years, we found ourselves back in Victoria with our two children, Christopher and Tyler. I chose to stay at home until our kids were in school and re-entered the work force in a part time administrative position at Victoria Speciality Hardware until joining KSC Sales full time.
I have enjoyed watching my children grow to become young adults, and the best thing they have taught me is to have patience and not sweat the little things. I have always believed that you should treat others the way you want to be treated and learn from your mistakes whether at work or in life’s lessons.
